These additional fractals are some of my favourite images and show the variety of forms that such mathematical iterations can generate. All of these images have been generated using the FRACTINT program. Some of these are generated by using par files made generally available by other people. The parameter file to generate them in their full high resolution splendor is available for download here PARMFILE TWO. This contains the author credits for all these pictures along with their source locations. A few of the images also require external formulae and these are also available here FRMFILE which again contain the appropriate credits. The fractal names and types are indicated for reference.
Let's start with some nice varients of standard fractals
Breakout (mandellambda), Worm City (barnsleym1), Long Swirl (mandel), Foursome (mandel)
Followed by a few more...
Organisms (mandphoenixclx), Julia A (julia), Sixty Nines (formula 3jratz-fn sinh/cosh),
Diskettes (manlam fn:fn sinh/ident)
They can get stranger and stranger, and more organic
Vortex (formula 3rdim01), Tailspin (mandel), Nova (formula novam), Scorpion (magnet1j)
Resembling solid images
Solidflake (lambdafn cosxx), Face (formula ok-12 recip/recip), PlasticTrees (formula ok-16 tanh),
Eye of the Storm (formula ok-18 recip/ident)
But down to earth again with a few 1D Cellular automata, time is shown downward
CA Triangle, CA Two Triangle, CA Slanters, CA Three Cone (all cellular type)
Geometric patterns can come from fractals too
Square Spiral (lambdafn flip), Perspective (barnsleym1), Tiling (formula tilemandel),
Open Rectangle (fn+fn sin/sinh)
As can threadlike designs
Broadbrush (julia), Treescape (fn(z)+fn(pix) cos/tanh), Tracery (manfn+zsqra sin),
Undergrowth (julia)
Intricacies
Venus Flytrap (fn(z)+fn(pix) cos/sqr), Solidarity (formula mfn2fn sin/log),TriNewton
(formula pixnwt tan), Agamoto (complexnewton)
and oddballs
Flowing (manowarj), Splash (fn(z)+fn(pix) recip/cotan), Galactic (sqr(1/fn) ident), Alien (Tim's error sqr)
